AGDA Awards ‘18

The AGDA awards are an annual celebration of the communication and design community from Australia, New Zealand and beyond. Our task was to create a dynamic opening video to set the scene for the evening. To celebrate Melbourne’s great creative arts culture, grungy pub-rock scene and a love for black, the opening animation is a raw stop motion piece, all hand drawn in Sumi ink. Each abstract sequence represents various design disciplines—from print, to motion graphics, to environmental design.

Achieved merit status in the 2019 AGDA Awards for motion, and a finalist for the Designers Institute of New Zealand Best Design Awards 2019 in the Short Form category.
